Home is where the hearth is. People aspire to build houses for their lifetimes and take great pride in setting them up and making it a warm place. Setting up of home is not an easy task and involves meticulous planning and detailing. The task involves flooring, walls, electrical fittings, furniture etc. Needless to say, the layout can be elaborate depending on the budget, willingness and efforts involved or can also be a very simple affair.

Setting up of home can be done individually by couples right after marriage or with the assistance of friends and family. First and foremost, it is important to ensure the safety and security while setting up the house. This involves setting up of fire detector, smoke detectors, locks, fire extinguisher etc. Thereafter the basics of life which is primary infrastructure should be arranged. That means basics such as letter box, phone, intercom facility, wireless, should be arranged.

Once the primary essentials are done, the owner should plan the design and layout of the house. This involves setting up and designing the walls, ceiling etc. The walls can be decorated in various forms. Paints, wall papers of various colors and prints can be used. Fascination these days is to have various forms of false ceiling. There is no limit to decoration and setting up. But with the help of professionals or by seeking the advice of friends and relatives, individuals can set their house in the holistic manner within their budget.
People use various art forms such as paintings, sculpture, vases etc also to decorate the houses. Sculpture pedestals as the name indicates helps in highlighting the sculpture in the decoration room.
